Doctor Anna Kucharska

Founder and President of the COHEM Foundation

A Consultant Psychiatrist with many years’ experience who has been working with children and young adults in Malawi for many years. She uses her medical knowledge, experience and commitment not only in her professional work, but also in her social and charitable activities.

She created a comprehensive support programme covering education, psychological assistance and initiatives aimed at reducing poverty. Thanks to this, children and young adults in Malawi have a real opportunity for a better future, to develop their own potential and to break the multigenerational cycle of poverty and social exclusion.

Within the Foundation, she is responsible for implementing all projects and determining the direction of its development. Her work is based on empathy, responsibility and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, develop and live a dignified life.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, discovering new places and cultures, and draws energy from contact with nature and spending time with animals.
